J-Walking - Songs For Justice Walkers -
18 Songs Including Four New Releases - Made possible by a collabrative effort between Bryan and an organization called JustFaith in Louisville, KY, this recording features most of Bryan's peace and justice themed songs. JustFaith has also developed a curriculum for use in teen and young adult Christian education classes. This curriculum features Bryan's music, and is part of a comprehensive effort to help parishes and congregations explore what it means to be communities which are deeply committed to justice according to scripture and the teachings of the Church. This compilation of many of my songs that deal with social justice in one way or another was the brainchild of my good friend Joe Grant of JustFaith in Louisville, KY. I'm delighted to be collaborating with JustFaith in their attempts to help churches and Christian individuals wrestle more deeply and faithfully with what it means to "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God." (Micah 6:8). I hope and pray that these songs somehow move you to respond to the needs of the world with deeper compassion, and that they also encourage you to discern which piece of God's Dream for the world is yours to carry.
