The mission of Crosswind Ministries is to write, record, and release music and other resources in response to the Dream of the God of Jesus Christ. I will work as much as possible in conjunction with historic Church bodies, honoring my call as an ordained clergyman, seeking to be accountable both to my own congregation and to the Church at large, and embracing the deepest dimensions of true ecumenism. I will also pray for the Spirit's guidance as I seek to discern the difference between my call into this unique "unaligned" ministry, and the dangers of free lance individualism. I will be guided first and foremost in all my efforts by a commitment to ministry, proclaiming the gospel, and serving the spiritual, psychological, and physical needs of others--especially "the least" in this world. I will seek to be fairly compensated for my efforts, trusting that God will provide, through the "insecurity of providence," for me and my family. I will never say "no" to an opportunity to minister simply on the basis of financial concerns; neither will I create or market a product or service simply to make money. In the creation, manufacturing, and marketing of all that I do, I will be guided by the commitment to ministry, asking myself, "what is the ministry value of the effort?" I will
seek to live out this ministry at a rate and pace which is in sync
with God's call, and which is physically, psychologically, and spiritually
healthy for me and my family. I will say "no" to opportunities
which violate this rhythm and these principles, and do so with the
same joy and freedom with which I accept opportunities to share my
gifts.
